Manufacturing

The 'premium' games have a 3D game board and are made by injection moulding. They are a very robust product, and are particularly suited for schools. The 'economy' games have a flat game board but all the other components are the same as the premium games.

The manufacturing cost reflects the special manufacturing process to make a high quality product by lamination of a special image into the mould, which produces a unique, hard wearing and beautiful 3D surface that is as much a model as it is a game.

The Licensed Manufacturer is expected to deliver product within four weeks of any order. OCL is happy to negotiate a smaller first-time order if necessary.

Premium version Ody-see box dimensions are:

• 70 mm high, 320 mm wide, 460 mm long (2.8" high, 12.6" wide, 18.1" long).

• 2.25 kg (5.0 lb).

Economy version Ody-see box dimensions are:

• 50 mm high, 320 mm wide, 460 mm long (2.0" high, 12.6" wide, 18.1" long).

• 1.0 kg (2.2 lb).

Distribution

OCL is seeking:

• Distributors (for traditional retail shops); and

• Direct retailers (Internet retailer or direct import and sales).

During the first year, OCL will order product from the manufacturer and monitor the quality and supply to ensure expected standards. After this, distributors will be authorised to purchase product direct from the Licensed Manufacturer to ensure that the manufacturer-distributor-retailer supply chain is as cost and time efficient as possible. OCL intends to concentrate on product standards and development. OCL receives a monthly royalty payment per unit, so distributors will not require individual OCL shipment invoices when ordering direct.

Retailers

The normal retail wholesale discount is 50%, so the premium versions are US$35.00, and the economy versions are US$20.00 per game. The discount for direct retailers is 61% for the premium versions (US$27.50) and 63% for economy versions (US$13.00).
